What will I defend - jonathan Yeo (38)

I am Jonathan Yeo Jia Hao and I am currently studying in Maris Stella High School in Secondary 2 Francis. In times of threat or crisis I would defend my country, my friends and most importantly my family. I would defend my country because this is my homeland and this is where I belong; the memories, which are happy and unforgettable during my childhood, are all here. Therefore I must protect it and not let threat or crisis destroy it.

I would defend my friends regardless of their race and religion because they are the people who help me when I faced difficulties and keep motivating me when I’m at a lost or feeling upset. Hence, I must protect them and not let threat or crisis separates us.  

Lastly but most importantly I would defend my family, as they are the one who provides me with education and opportunity to build a stronger bonding with my different races friends. Without them I would not have enough confidence to overcome challenging obstacles and go beyond my limit. Last but not least, they are my closest kin in the Earth therefore I must defend them.
