The advantages of CCT surveillance is that it can be used as both a deterrent tool, investigating tool and a source of evidence. The presence of CCT surveillance in premises will deter vandalism, robbery and other mischiefs. Thats why robbers and hooligans will think twice about doing anything wrong as they know that their acts would be captured by the CCT. Those unwavered or deliberately commit mischief or crime would have their acts recorded and the evidence given to the police for investigation and subsequent actions. I would appreciate that the Singapore government should apply more CCT surveillance, however they should be careful as to not overdo it as people still want to have their own privacy.
