Joshua Chan (9) 1st Entry

I think that the CCT surveillance has its share of good and bad points. However, I believe that the number of good points of having the CCT surveillance greatly outweigh the number of bad points. First of all, I think that giving up our privacy to the police is better than letting robbers steal or mob other people. In other words, a fair price to pay. Just by installing these cameras, with the NYPD sign on them, there is already a decrease in the number of crimes that are committed in the city. Furthermore, the police can keep track of robbers who are on the run, and take down their license  plates so that the police can easily track down the culprits easily. Plus, citizens have nothing to fear from the installation of these cameras unless they have done something wrong. In this way, the citizens are safer than before.
