Hendrik Kwek (14) First Entry
The installation of the CCT surveillance has indeed cut down crimes but with the CCT surveillance around the street, it will very much intrude everyone's privacy. It's like the CCT surveillance is watching your every move and it makes you feel like you are in prison, the police are monitoring your every move. If the CCT surveillance are turn on for 24 hours everyday, won't it consume a lot of electricity in order to function and it will take a lot of money. Another point is that if people vandalise it and damage it, the police will have to send people down to repair it but if this keeps going on, won't it be very troublesome? My last point would be what would happen if the CCT surveillance "eyes" are not big enough to capture everything? Like example what would happen if a crime is taking place but the CCT surveillance is not capturing it down, wouldn't the CCT surveillance be deemed useless?
