I agree with shaun to using CCTVs as a way to lower the crime rate in Singapore. However, if CCTVs are really to be installed everywhere, the cost of the CCTVs would be a large amount of money. Even if there are CCTVs everywhere, the majority of the public will not feel secure as the police may be listening to their private conversations. There should be some policemen who will stand guard near the CCTVs as some hackers might try to hack into the CCTV and use it for improper means. Like shaun has said, it can be used as a way to capture on film robbers in action and used to catch them.
